Evidence and accuracy
Claims should be traceable to reliable sources. Systematic reviews, peer-reviewed literature, official guidance and validated national evidence are prioritised where appropriate. Interpretation must distinguish established evidence, emerging findings and opinion.
Editorial independence
Publication decisions are based on relevance, quality, integrity and alignment with YouthLoom’s purpose. Funding, affiliation or professional position does not guarantee publication.
Respectful representation
Adolescents and young people are represented as rights-holders, contributors and diverse individuals—not as stereotypes, passive beneficiaries or a single homogeneous group.
Authorship and disclosure
Authors must disclose relevant affiliations, funding and conflicts of interest. Sources, quotations and creative work must be attributed accurately.
Review and publication
Comments and contributions may be submitted publicly. All submissions are subject to appropriate editorial review, evidence checking, permissions and safeguarding assessment, and manual approval before publication. Where authorship or personal experience is central to the content, contributor identity may also be verified.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected transparently in accordance with the Corrections Policy.
